| Group Health Insurance Benefits Plan
The Alliance for Arts and Culture offers members a comprehensive group insurance benefits plan at low group rates through GroupHEALTH Global. Who is eligible? This is true group insurance, which means that all of the usual benefits offered through an employer, if you were an employee, are offered through the Alliance for self-employed people and small organizations. The plan is well-suited to fit the needs of companies of all sizes in the cultural industries. Sole proprietors and small companies, who often find it difficult to obtain quality coverage on their own, will find the plan especially beneficial.
Organizations pay partial to full amounts of their employee costs, and self-employed artists pay for it themselves. There is some tax relief for the self-employed who purchase their own medical benefits. There may be a medical questionnaire to fill out at the time of application. What are the costs? The costs vary depending upon factors such as marital status and salary. The health and dental plans can be extended to cover spouses and dependent children. An individual making $30,000 per year can expect to pay about:
Please note: larger salaries will result in higher Life Insurance, AD&D, and Long Term Disability premiums as the benefit amounts payable would also increase. Quotes can be provided upon request. Who do I contact for more information or to sign up? Donna D. Peerless Last Updated: Copyright © Alliance for Arts and Culture, 2006 |
