Programs and Services
The Alliance for Arts and Culture works to foster better connections beyond our sector, specifically with tourism, business, government, and media. We also strive to build a foundation of common knowledge and language about arts and culture, and to encourage better relationships with and between our members.
Our specific activities include, but are not limited to:
Advocacy
Building better connections beyond our sector, specifically with tourism, business, government and media
- Monitor public policy, track changes, and document their impact
- Identify and synthesize issues for members
- Inform other sectors about the arts
- Represent the interests of the arts with business, government, and media
- Lead the advocacy efforts of Greater Vancouver's arts and culture community
- Provide access to free summary legal advice through an Artists' Legal Outreach program
- Run the S.E.A.R.C.H. employment program
- Participate in forums and on boards, panels, and committee
- Manage AAC Advocacy Alerts, a listserv that allows members to exchange advocacy information
