BC Culture Days invites all professional and amateur artists, arts organizations, cultural workers, and community organizers to participate in a free workshop in preparation for the 2016 Culture Days weekend.
Participants will learn how to plan, market and publicize their Culture Days activities, as well as connect with other artists and organizers to find ways of working together collaboratively towards their common public engagement goals. Please come prepared to brainstorm ideas and determine what activities, projects, discussions or initiatives deserve to be highlighted in your community and unique ways in which they can be shared with the public. Culture Days takes place September 30, October 1 and 2, 2016.

Last year, British Columbians participated in 614 Culture Days activities offered in 50 communities across the province.
The seventh annual Culture Days weekend will feature thousands of free, hands-on, interactive activities that invite the public to participate “behind-the-scenes,” to discover the world of artists, creators, heritage experts, architects, curators, designers and other creative people in their communities. Of those who attended last year, 89% agreed that Culture Days was an important event in their community.
