Howard Jang to Take New Role at Banff Centre

Howard Jang has been named the vice-president of arts and leadership at the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity in Alberta. He starts in the position January 2018.

Among Jang's roles in the Vancouver arts and culture community, he was executive director of the Arts Club Theatre Company, director of SFU Woodward's Goldcorp Centre for the Arts and a professor at the SFU School for the Contemporary Arts.

Jang is a longtime friend of the BC Alliance for Arts + Culture, including serving on the board of the Society to Bridge Arts and Community, the BC Alliance's charitable arm. "Howard is a fountain of knowledge," says BC Alliance executive director Brenda Leadlay. "We're sad to lose such an incredible resource, who gives his wisdom and his time so generously."

In spite of our tears, we wish Howard Jang all the best in his new role at the Banff Centre early next year.
