Full Circle First Nations Performance is a non-profit performing arts society incorporated in British Columbia in 1992 with a mandate to create opportunities for Aboriginal artists, writers and performers to express the reality of Aboriginal experience by presenting their work in harmony with Aboriginal traditions which engaging contemporary performance techniques in an interdisciplinary fashion.
Full Circle First Nations Performance is seeking submissions for the annual Talking Stick Festival in Vancouver BC – a celebration of First Nations performance and art.
We welcome work of both established and emerging artists from all areas of the performing arts: theatre, dance and drumming, spoken word, music and multi media performance. Traditional and contemporary - or a combination of the two!
The Talking Stick Festival also offers opportunities for artists whose work is in development and who are seeking artistic support/guidance. Artists who are interested in having their work presented in the “Development Series” are encouraged to state this in their submission and include a statement in the cover letter detailing their aspirations and dreams for their project, plus how they believe Full Circle could be of benefit to them.

Cover letter - outlining your interests and telling us a little bit about your self
- An updated resume
- A sample of your work if you have it (CD – if you are singer / DVD if you are a performer / link to your website or YouTube)
- Any other support material you feel would help your application
- A stamped and self addressed if you wish your support material to be returned to you

After all submissions are reviewed, shortlisted applicants will be contacted for further discussion.
Due to budget restrictions, Full Circle is not always able to provide travel for artists. Therefore, to aid in their application, out-of-town artists are encouraged to pursue travel funding opportunities and include details of this in their applications.
