North Vancouver Community Arts Council & CityScape Community Art Space
 are very excited to announce the 6th annual “Anonymous Art Show”, a group exhibition
and fundraising event that will include both emerging and established two-dimensional artists working strictly on unframed 8” x 8” x 1 ½” back stapled canvas. The paintings will be sold anonymously but the artist is asked to sign the back of their painting. All artists are encouraged to participate in this worthwhile event as it is a significant fundraiser for the many valuable community programmes, projects and events of the Arts Council. Each painting will be priced at $100. Fifty percent will go to the artist and the balance will remain with the Arts Council.

The exhibition will open on Thursday, November 25 at 7:00pm and continue until Saturday, December 18th, giving the community an opportunity to purchase original art in time for Christmas.

Blank canvases are NOW available for sale through the North Vancouver Community Arts Council. $5 for members and $7 for non-members.

This show is now gently juried. Artists can submit a maximum of 3 pieces of art work.
At least one of three works will be accepted. The NVCAC reserves the right to refuse any work that we consider offensive to the public.  Art work must meet the following requirements:

  • We only accept unframed, 8” x 8” x 1 ½”, back stapled canvas
  • Limit of three submissions per artist
  • Two dimensional works only - no reliefs - no three dimensional works as canvases are stored stacked
  • New submissions only. Previous years AAS submissions will not be accepted
  • Name and title must be written on back.
  • Canvases that are signed on the front will not be accepted
  • Paintings must be submitted completely dry
  • Please do not wire
  • Mark arrow on back of canvas to indicate the top of the piece
  • Diptychs and triptychs are acceptable but will not be shown together

 Drop off artwork any time prior to the deadline.
Deadline for submissions:  Saturday, November 13 at 4:00pm
