Call Information
Fugue Theatre is a professional organization that commissions librettists and composers to create original, Canadian operetta and music theatre. We enjoy playing with form and ideas. We enjoy being bold and interpretive. We often fuse the classical with jazz and the operatic with the theatrical. We are a project-based organization which has produced shows for over 7 years.
We are constantly on the lookout for BC-based librettists and composers to commission. If you are a librettist, composer or both and are based in British Columbia, follow the guidelines below for your submission.

Librettists
Please submit 2 samples of no more than 15 pages of libretto. Also, please submit a cover letter and resume, in PDF format.
Also, please submit your story idea as a one-page treatment. The samples above should not be your story idea.
Composers
Please submit 2 contrasting score samples in PDF written for voice of not more than 3 pages each and 2 midi files, which contain vocal segments of not longer than 2 minutes each. Streaming samples are also welcome. Also, please include a cover letter and resume.
Also, please submit your compositional idea. The samples above should not be your proposed idea.
