Sunshine Coast Festival of the Written Arts

The Sunshine Coast Festival of the Written Arts is Canada's longest-running literary festival with the mandate to present Canadian writers only. Celebrating 30 years August 16-19, 2012, the festival takes place in the town of Sechelt on BC's Sunshine Coast. The Festival of the Written Arts attracts an audience of about 9,000 and writers of diverse genres from across the country. All events take place in the 450-seat Festival Pavilion, located in the heart of the heritage Rockwood Gardens.

Norman Rothstein Theate & Chutzpah! Festival

Norman Rothstein Theatre

The Norman Rothstein Theatre (NRT) established and incorporated in 1994 and operated by the Vancouver West Side Theatre Society, is a fully equipped 318 seat performing arts proscenium theatre venue for the presentation of dance, music, theatre, film and literary events. The theatre was created to enhance the cultural life of both the Jewish and General communities.  The Theatre features a complete sound and lighting system, a full-size movie motorized front projection screen and commercial projectors, dance floor and a Steinway Grand piano.
