We are currently looking for a part-time Technician for our busy Ceramics Studio. Reporting to the Program Coordinator, this role is responsible for the day-to-day management of our studio, which includes both handbuilding and wheel-throwing areas with an extruder, slab roller and 7 wheels. We have 3 kilns in our glazing/kiln room, and 120 glazes.
Public Dreams has an immediate opening for a dedicated individual to fill the contract position of Producer of our upcoming celebration, Illuminares 2011. This position reports directly to the Managing Director of Public Dreams and contributes to the organization’s mandate by ensuring that the event is planned and executed within the scale, scope, and artistic/community engagement objectives outlined by Public Dreams.
The Arts Club Theatre Company is Western Canada’s largest professional theatre company. Now in its 47th season, this not-for-profit charitable organization produces and presents theatre year- round in three theatres (the 200-seat Revue Stage, the 450-seat Granville Island Stage, and the 650-seat Stanley Industrial Alliance Stage) and also tours extensively throughout the province.

Program Coordinator, Dance and Drama

The Vancouver Celebrates Diwali Festival is looking for Workshop Managers to help coordinate and facilitate the arts & culture workshops for of our 2010 Festival. This year’s Festival includes many of our favorite events including a series of mini-festival workshops taking place at community centres and neighborhood houses across the city.
We are currently seeking submissions from local Workshop Managers for placement in several events happening between November 2 – 7, 2010.
Under the direction of the Executive Director and in cooperation with Event Committee members, the Special Event Coordinator is responsible to oversee all aspects of each of the following Special Events hosted by the Port Moody Arts Centre Society each year: • Girls Night Out (April), Wine Tasting Events (May/June, November), Festival of the Arts (Sept/Oct), • Wearable Art Awards (Feb 2011, dependent upon funding being received).

The Roundhouse Community Arts and Recreation Centre is excited to tell the “ big” Roundhouse story through gathering input about it as a leading edge community arts and recreation centre, about its history from its start as a railway roundhouse, its evolving role in the neighbourhood and the process of its transformation. The story will be told in film and other media. Role: Working with a project Steering Committee, the coordinator will manage story collection though a community engagement process.
