The Vancouver Symphony is the third largest orchestra in Canada, with an annual operating budget of just over $13 million. The Orchestra performs 140 concerts annually in some fourteen series in its home, the Orpheum Theatre, and numerous venues throughout Lower Mainland British Columbia. In addition, it can be heard regularly across Canada and the Northern United States on CBC radio broadcasts. Bramwell Tovey is the Music Director.
Reporting to the Associate Director and coordinated by the Public Programs Co-ordinators, the Educator will assist in development, delivery and facilitation of tours and workshops to visitors at the Vancouver Art Gallery specifically; they execute school programs, family programs and in-Gallery adult tours. The Educator will work with the appropriate areas, predominately in this case the Families programs and adult tours, to help shape and deliver a continual program of tours and workshops delivered to children and adults primarily on the weekends.
