The Shadbolt Centre for the Arts is looking for new team members to work shifts as Supervisor Front of House and other times as Cashier Attendant in the box office.


The Supervisor Front of House is responsible coordinating and overseeing the Front of House operations, involving supervision of volunteer ushers, liaising with theatre user groups, concession, box office, theatre technicians, and stage management. Other duties include ensuring theatre policy and procedures for emergencies and audience control are upheld to ensure the comfort and safety of patrons; handling customer complaints and resolving problems as required. You are responsible for competing paperwork as related to the Front of House. Performs other related work as required. 

The Cashier Attendant is responsible for processing phone and in-person ticket sales for Shadbolt Centre for the Arts and renters’ events including will-call and show night sales. You must balance each shift's sales and processing paperwork and handle customer enquiries and complaints, as well as update the events mailing list and performing other related work as required.


Qualifications include the completion of Grade 12, including or supplemented by customer service and supervisory experience. The position requires knowledge of theatre operations, including principles involved in coordinating and administering the activities and operations of a theatre, and familiarity with box office ticketing software or reservation systems. Excellent customer service skills are required, with the ability to deal effectively with internal and external contacts, as well as the ability to exercise sound judgment and initiative.

Supervisor Front of House pay rate: $23.96 per hour plus 12% in lieu of benefits. Cashier Attendant pay rate: $20.51 per hour plus 12% in lieu of benefits.
