British Columbia’s Knowledge Network has an excellent opportunity for a full-time Researcher to conduct and coordinate web, mobile and television research activities. You will be responsible for managing research projects pertaining to our television and online audiences and identifying trends using TV meter and web data. As our in-house statistical go-to person, this role uses analytics to support programming and marketing activities.
You will spend much of your day working in excel or various databases doing the following:
• Mining and compiling data from industry standard databases to produce overnight, weekly, monthly and seasonal reports based on broadcast viewership and web activity
• Analyzing data and market trends for specific programs, timeslots, demographics and behaviours
• Presenting quarterly research reports to the management group
• Completing individual data requests from internal stakeholders
Qualified candidates will have a degree or diploma in business, statistics, sociology, or equivalent relevant education, plus substantial experience demonstrating analytical and interpretive skills. High proficiency in Excel is required as well as proven initiative in conceptualizing research projects and presenting data. Experience with Google Analytics would be an asset. Accuracy and attention to detail are paramount. You must have exceptional interpersonal, communication and organizational skills and enjoy working with numbers.
