Circle Bright Productions is a new performing arts/event company that strives to engage, entertain and inspire audiences of the lower mainland with high quality live performances including concerts, musicals, and plays.

Job Description: 

We are looking for an Event/Concert Producer to join our team and help produce a musical-themed concert. The producer will be responsible for supervising and coordinating all production and technical aspects of the concert. This position requires the successful candidate to work as a producer and a production manager

Responsibilities: 

• Create concepts and ideas for the concert, and develop a plan for the execution of these ideas
• Develop a production budget to ensure all resources are managed as effectively as possible
• Set production timelines, rehearsal schedules and performance date
• Form a highly motivated and collaborative production team
• Conduct production meetings to track work progress
• Obtain performance licenses from various organizations
• Assist in the audition process
• Order music and scores for talents and orchestra
• Develop marketing plans and strategies
• Contract artists, technical crew and vendors
• Oversees onsite details including set-up, load-in, coordination and strike
• Other administrative duties as required
• Work time and location is flexible. However, the producer must be available to attend production meetings, auditions and conduct onsite coordination when needed
• Need to work in the evenings and during weekends, especially as performance approaches

Qualifications: 

• At least 5 years experience in concert production, event production, and/or professional theatre production
• Experience working with union/equity actors/artists
• Post-secondary degree preferred; significant work experience may substitute for the degree
• Excellent communication skills, including writing and proof reading skills
• Superior organization skills, with special attention to detail and time management
• Proven demonstration of leadership, creativity and decision-making skills
• Connections with local performing arts/theatre community
• Conduct oneself as a professional at all times
• Proficient using the latest versions of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Experience in marketing/publishing an asset
• Combined skills/experience as a concert producer and a theatre producer an asset
