Assistant to the Technical Director
Job Information
Upintheair Theatre is seeking applicants for the position of Assistant to the Technical Director for the Neanderthal Arts Festival at the Cultch. Applicants should have strong organizational abilities, technical knowledge, positive work ethic, be able to work as part of a team, and will have or be working towards a degree in Technical Theatre or equivalent professional experience.
Dates: July 19-31, 2011
The ATD responsibilities will include:

Working with the Technical Director to insure the smooth operation of technical rehearsals for both Neanderthal Arts Mainstage shows and the Walking Fish Showcase of Emerging Artists (availability July 19 – 22, daytime)

Co-ordinating and leading backstage crew during Walking Fish performances (must be available evenings July 21-24)

Being available during the Festival run to trouble-shoot technical issues as they may arise (dates to be determined in co-ordination with the Festival Technical Director)
