Auction Floor Manager

Maynards Antique & Fine Art Ltd. is seeking to recruit an Auction Floor Manager for our auction rooms in Vancouver.
We hold a continuous series of antique and fine art auctions throughout the year, both live in our salerooms and online through web based bidding.
We are seeking a hard-working, self-motivated individual, who is capable of managing the antiques department under the guidance of the Vice President.
This position is full-time, with occasional weekend and evening work during auctions.
Duties include:
- Coordinating the logistics of bi-weekly auctions, including the development and implementation of detailed event and advertising schedules
- Directing a staff of four in all aspects of auction production, including inventory control, showroom design, database management, catalogue creation, online bidding administration, accounting and collections, shipping and cartage coordination, and general event production
- Demonstrating sound problem-solving skills, tact and courtesy in management of client relationships
- High level of organization, efficiency and accuracy
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Outstanding work ethic and problem solving ability
- Ability to prioritize and maintain multiple projects in deadline-focused environment
- Ability to work under pressure, at times, is vital
- Excellent collaborator, yet self-motivated and works well independently
- High level of computer literacy
- A knowledge and interest in antiques and the arts is preferable
