A division of Flight Centre, Stage and Screenstarted trading in 1995 as a specialist travel agency and logistics company dedicated to the Film/TV, Sports, Performing Arts, Fashion, Media and Entertainment industries across Australia, New Zealand, India, USA, and Canada.
They have been appointed the travel service provider for in excess of five hundred performance events ranging from rock and roll tours to feature film, commercial, television projects and sporting events. In addition to the project business, they have an impressive list of iconic entertainment corporate and sporting accounts.
This is much more than your 'normal' corporate sales role! Stage & Screen has a fantastic opportunity for a Business Development Manager to join their first class team, based in Vancouver, BC.
Acquiring new travel business, your client base will be the creme-de-la-creme of the entertainment, sporting and music industries in Canada.
More specifically, the successful candidate will be..
- Instrumental in driving inquiry, cold calling, generating leads and promoting the brand;
- Qualifying and capturing new travel business and to achieve set sales targets; and
- Actively contributing to Stage and Screen's growth strategy and wider business plan.
The ideal candidate will have several years business to business sales experience, as well as the initiative, determination and drive to win new business. A passion for the entertainment, sporting and music industries is a must, combined with a highly personable nature. While it is important to be able to source new business, Stage & Screen is also seeking someone who can excel at building relationships with key clients. The successful candidates will therefore require strong interpersonal skills (including skills in relationship building, negotiation and persuasion), and a strong business and commercial acumen. This role will an individual who has experience in a similar fast-paced dynamic environment.
Stage and Screen really believes in working hard and playing hard, therefore, to get heads turning, you will need an impressive track record of meeting your targets and KPI's, a healthy dose of determination, and the confidence to close sales over the phone and during face to face meetings. You will need to be professionally presented, with a commitment to providing excellent customer service!
The role is full time, from 8:30am to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday. You will attend various film festivals and industry networking events.
If you have the sales experience and drive to excel in this role, you will be rewarded with a competitive base salary and a performance-driven UNCAPPED commission structure, with global career advancement and travel opportunities! We expect fully trained BDM's to be earning around $55,000 - $67,000 OTE in the first year!
