2010 Legacies Now is a not-for-profit society that works in partnership with community organizations, non-government organizations (NGOs), the private sector and all levels of government to develop sustainable legacies in sport & recreation, arts, literacy, and volunteerism. 2010 Legacies Now actively assists communities to discover and create unique and inclusive social and economic opportunities leading up to, during and beyond the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.

Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Director of Arts, this position as Contractor for Arts Contribution Programs oversees the Innovations and Arts Partners in Creative Development programs. Please note this is a contract, non-staff position. In this role you will manage the implementation of the Arts Contribution Programs including the following:

• Working with potential applicants to understand contribution programs
• Assessing applications and coordinating the adjudication processes
• Overseeing the establishment of advisory panels and chairing the advisory meetings
• Responsible for the notification process of successful and unsuccessful applicants
• Preparation of contribution agreements and payments
• Working with clients to measure progress of activities and providing feedback
• Evaluating and approving final reports
• Attending meetings as needed to ensure the integration of contribution programs with other program areas
• Liaising with 2010 Legacies Now staff and program partners as needed

Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge of the arts sector in British Columbia
• Experience in the methods, practices and procedures involved in peer assessment adjudication
• Experience in grant writing an asset
• Completion of a university degree in a related discipline plus a minimum five years experience in a management position in the arts and culture sector or a funding agency, or equivalent combination
• Self starter with the ability to plan and manage multiple deadlines independently
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Provides a high level of customer service and understands how own work product affects others
• Proactive with the proven ability to solve problems diplomatically and make critical decisions independently
• Ability to collaborate and build and sustain strong working relationships with internal and external coworkers, customers and clients
• Able to work a flexible work schedule
• Working knowledge of Word, Excel, Access and Outlook
