This critical position will be responsible for assisting in the implementation, coordination and execution of fundraising and marketing activities relating to The Cultch’s annual campaign, events, and legacy initiatives. Specifically, the successful candidate will coordinate all gift processing functions; maintain donor database systems; develop and prepare a variety of reports and queries; respond to donor enquiries; and provide a variety of administrative and logistical support functions to the fundraising and marketing team.

Responsibilities: 
  • Prepares data for donor solicitations and mailings
  • Develops and prepares a variety of database reports, queries, and exports
  • Maintains computerized record system (Raiser’s Edge); coordinates all data entry, analyses, and exports
  • Provides training and back-up support to team members with respect to database use and gift processing
  • Prepares tax receipts and donor acknowledgements and prepares follow up correspondence for monthly giving and renewals
  • Responds to enquiries from donors and refers as appropriate
  • Coordinates all aspects of direct mail campaigns
  • Proofreads documents
  • Provides data for the annual budget and business plan
  • Provides database support for the donor recognition and benefits program
  • Prepares invitations and registration lists for Cultch events
  • Participates in Cultch events and functions as required
  • Month-end accounting and financial reconciliation
Qualifications: 
  • Proficiency in Raiser’s Edge, Microsoft Word, Excel, Access
  • 2+ years experience in donations management using Raiser’s Edge
  • Detail-oriented with superior written and oral communication skills including excellent grammar, spelling, and proofreading skills
  • Ability to plan, organize and prioritize work, while handling multiple tasks and interruptions with poise and patience
  • Strong interpersonal and public relations skills
  • The ability to work independently and as part of the team
  • Experience in fundraising an asset
  • College or university level courses would be considered an asset
  • The ability to handle matters of a sensitive and confidential nature
  • Familiarity with CRA regulations and guidelines, particularly in relation to tax receipting
  • Superior organizational skills with respect to time management
  • Good memory for names

Remuneration: 

This is a full-time position.

Salary range: $30 – 35,000 per year commensurate upon experience.
