Fundraising Coordonator
Job Information
Théâtre la Seizième, the only professional French language theatre company in BC, is looking for a Fundraising coordinator.
- Create a development plan as well a timeline to find new funding for the company.
- Identify new opportunities for sponsorship as well as public and private funding and prepare and submit the applications as required.
- Participate in the preparation of grant applications the company currently submits.
- Create and maintain a database of sponsors and donors.
- Manage the ad sales for house programs.
- Identify and approach season and production sponsors.
- Identify and approach new individual donors.
- Support and prepare the members of the board of directors for meetings with potential and existing donors.
- Coordinate the annual donation campaign with management.
The coordinator will work under the supervision of the Managing Director.
The ideal candidat will:
- Have at least 2 years of experience in fundraising for not for profit organizations or in a related field
- Be fluent in English with excellent writing skills
- Be proficient in French with good writing skills
- Be able to draft various types of documents with ease and clarity.
- Be able to work well in a team as well as independently
- Have strong inter-personal skills as well as being creative, organized and resourceful
- Will have significant experience with the following software: MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access, Outlook.
- Experience with developing and managing a database is an asset.

SALARY : 19 to $23/hour (commensurate with experience) (25 hours/week)
START DATE : 21st of February, 2012
LENGTH OF THE CONTRACT : 2012-02-21 to 2013-02-17, with the possibility of renewal
