Gallery Administrator
Job Information
For almost 30 years, Art Works Gallery has been the one-stop place for art in Vancouver. Representing over 150 local and international artist, we provide assistance with everything from selection to placement of artwork.
Act as liaison between the gallery and the artists
Inventory control
Gallery maintenance
Update website on a regular basis (no experience required)
Update weekly listings in various local publications
Prepare and send newsletters
Review and assist in implementing advertising and marketing
Review the work of potentially new gallery artists
Coordinate, organize, curate and install all exhibitions and opening receptions.
Write press releases& develope a rapport with various media.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Forward-thinking project management and organizational skills
Ability to design some print material and manipulate images is an asset
Ability to effectively delegate and supervise volunteers and interns
The applicant must be able to operate Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Internet and Photoshop.
Illustrator, Quickbooks and Maximizer knowledge is an asset.
Art related education
