Arts Umbrella Dance is internationally recognized as a program that develops the whole dancer, stressing technical strength while embracing the importance of the intellectual and artistic elements of the art form. With a strong foundation in Classical Ballet, Contemporary, Jazz and Modern dance forms, young dancers are given the opportunity to explore dance as artists, athletes, performers, audience members and future professionals.

As the General Program Ballet Instructor, you are an energetic and enthusiastic individual with a passion for working with youth. Your professional dance background combined with your teaching qualifications makes you an ideal candidate for this position. You have an innovative approach to teaching, and are able to inspire creativity in your students. You enjoy working on a team of instructors who share the same vision. You are comfortable in an office environment, and are able to support program administration.
Your qualifications include:
• Dance training, and/or a professional dance background
• Teacher certification with an accredited institution.
• Minimum 5 years experience teaching professional dance students
• A proven ability to connect with youth, and a desire to work with children and teens
• Cecchetti teaching qualifications are preferred
Reporting to the Artistic Director, this position will be part-time, with approximately 20 hours of teaching, and 15 hours of administration weekly. Successful candidates will be required to complete a Criminal Records Check and a reference check.
