Job Information
This is an invitation to work with Mothership Stories Society, a non-profit society dedicated to encouraging the writing, collecting and performing of family stories. This proven grant winner is the producing body of My Mother’s Story, an ever changing, successful theatrical stage show which is expanding into the international market. It is also a book, radio show, archive, website (www.mymothersstory.org) and offers workshops in the community. Created and run by award winning actor, playwright and artistic director Marilyn Norry, this is an exciting opportunity to acquire hands-on experience in theatrical administration as well as opportunities to investigate publishing, education, social networking, film production, radio and international arts programming. Marilyn has over thirty years acting credits in the film, television and theatre industries as well as experience behind the scenes as story editor, producer, director and teacher.
In partnership with the AD, the GM will be responsible for investigating grant opportunities, budget projections, efficient organization of board meetings, general correspondence, promotion and publicity.
Intermediate computer skills - Word Excel Powerpoint
Facility with numbers and details
The ability to take direction and work without supervision.
Familiarity with working in a non-profit, arts environment is an asset
Proven grant writing experience.
Diverse background a definite plus!
