As part of its commitment to accessibility, Arts Umbrella is expanding its operations to the City of Surrey. We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Manager who has the drive to deliver unparalled arts programming in Surrey.
Reporting to the CEO, the Manager has the mandate to lead the startup of the Arts Umbrella Surrey operation. In doing so, the Manager will be responsible for the opening of the facility, development of the programming schedule, recruitment of instructors, development and management of the operating and budgets, advertising, community engagement, fund development, and supervision of the Surrey team.
The ideal candidate is a passionate, articulate, and driven leader with outstanding communications and interpersonal skills. They have a career track which demonstrates solid project management, administrative leadership, meeting facilitation, people management, and community relations skills combined with an understanding of institutional procedures, curriculum development, and program administration. From a qualification perspective, the successful candidate will have a college or university degree and three to five years of supervisory experience in an educational or recreational setting. Solid computer skills and adept report writing is also an asset.
