New Performance Works Society (New Works) has an opportunity for an enthusiastic and dedicated Marketing and Communications Manager.
Responsible for managing and creating all external marketing communication materials for distribution, you will relish the experience gained by championing an organization dedicated to providing local performanceopportunities and promoting our clients locally, regionally, and nationally. Effective promotion of the organization will inspire community involvement in the organization’s activities and lead to an increase in admissions, sponsorships, program attendance, as well as memberships and volunteer involvement.
As an applicant you must have strong design, writing, and web development skills and enjoy employing creative marketing communications strategies to achieve positive and measurable results. You are creative, flexible, and independent with a desire to contribute to our team in a collaborative atmosphere where you can learn and grow.
- Development and implementation of effective marketing and communication strategies for New Works presentations, initiatives and clients
- Cost control of New Works and client deliverables
- Design and create New Works and client materials for distribution
- Design and create concepts for New Works and client events and fundraisers
- Manage and develop website content
- Manage New Works brand consistently and effectively
- Facilitate communication between affiliated New Works groups and stakeholders
- Liaise with media, develop releases, and perform public relations duties as required
- Other duties, responsibilities and special projects, as assigned by the Executive Director
- Bachelor/Undergraduate Degree in communications, marketing, electronic publishing or graphic design, orequivalent experience in marketing and/or arts administration (minimum of 2 years related managementand supervisory experience is preferred)
- Strong skills in graphic, web and print design, multimedia and social media
- Strong background in copywriting, editing and proofreading
- Demonstrated skills in writing grants and proposals
- Strong public and media relations skills
- Demonstrated excellent organizational, interpersonal and oral/written communications skills
- Dedicated to building and supporting positive teamwork among co-workers
- Ability to organize time effectively, establish priorities and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment
- Working knowledge of graphic design using Adobe InDesign and photo editing with Adobe Photoshop
- Comfortable in a PC environment
- Database program experience is an asset
- Volunteer management experience is an asset

- This is a full-time staff position with salary and benefits
- Normal work week is 35 hours Monday through Friday between 9am and 5pm, but flexible shifts including some weekend work may be required for special events
