Vancouver, BC, The Goh Ballet Academy has an immediate opening for a part-time piano accompanist for ballet classes.
Established in 1978, the Goh Ballet Academy is a highly respected, world-class training institute, providing students with an advanced education to equip them for a lasting career in the field of dance.

Interested candidates for the piano accompanist position(s) who are experienced in classical ballet accompaniment, or who have completed Grade 10 Examination of the Royal Conservatory of Music or its equivalent, are invited to apply. Good sight reading of music and familiarity with ballet class is an asset.
Working hours are flexible and competitive hourly remuneration is offered.
Position, Duties, and Responsibilities
1. Prepare and know the music needed for all classes, levels and rehearsals for which you are scheduled
2. Provide and play the proper tempo, style and variations of music suitable for each assigned class
3. Increase and expand your musical repertoire throughout the year for all classes
4. Include music from the renowned ballet classics in your musical repertoire for classes
5. Prepare and know all RAD examination music or music that has been delegated to you to play by teachers, choreographers or Director in a timely manner
6. Carry out and follow all regulations and policies of the Academy
7. Practice proper professional code of conduct at all times
8. Proper dress attire in keeping with the Academy’s image and requests
9. Communicate in a professional and courteous manner at all times to parents, staff and students
