Job Description: 

CADA/BC is a member-driven organization supporting dance artists as an integral part of BC’s cultural force. We are a provincially incorporated society serving a broad membership of dance students, emerging professional dance artists, professional dance artists, associated dance professionals (teachers, administrators, managers, etc.) and retired dance professionals.

Our Mission:
• to improve the socio-economic status of BC dance artists
• to establish and advance professional standards for BC dance artists
• to advocate for the vital role of dance in society.

Responsibilities: 

Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Program Coordinator is responsible for:

• Managing a small office, including budgeting, accounting, grant writing and reporting
• Coordinating member services and communications, including website maintenance
• Administering programs
• Liasing and collaborating with community partners, including attending community meetings and public speaking
• Attending monthly board meetings
• Collaborating with Board of Directors on the review and implementation of the strategic plan
• Evaluating program effectiveness

Qualifications: 

• Strong administrative and organizational skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to prioritize and juggle competing priorities
• Experience in grant writing and fundraising
• Knowledge of standard accounting procedures and practices
• Ability to work independently, collaboratively and creatively
• Passion for dance
• Familiarity with Mac OS X operating system and applications, Microsoft Excel and Word, Money Works Gold, Survey Monkey, Wordpress blogs, Google applications and various social media applications are an asset
• Experience in arts advocacy an asset
