Sarah McLachlan School of Music seeks experienced professionals for the following instructional positions in the 2011.12 programming year.

Music courses at the Sarah McLachlan School of Music for 2011.12 (Full year, 3 Terms)

Term 1 Fall (12 weeks):  Monday, September 19, 2011 – Friday, December 9, 2011

Term 2 Winter (10 weeks):  Tuesday, January 3, 2012 – Friday, March 9, 2012

Term 3 Spring (10 weeks):  Monday, March 26, 2012 – Sunday, June 3, 2012

Senior Voice Instructor

            Monday, ages 13 - 18                        4:30 – 8:15 PM

            Wednesday ages 13 – 18      4:00 – 6:00 PM

Candidates will have an extensive music background and past teaching experience combined with a proven ability to creatively engage youth in learning music. Candidates have an understanding of the Sarah McLachlan School of Music vision and mission, and demonstrate the Standards for Instruction in their current practice. A post-secondary degree (or equivalent) in music or related discipline and experience with educational curriculum is preferred.

Successful candidates will be contracted to teach weekly at the Sarah McLachlan School of Music at 200 - 138 East 7^th Avenue during the 2011.12 programming year, beginning September 19, 2011 until June 3, 2012 (dates may be subject to change).
