What began in 1988 as a small community film festival has evolved into a year-round multi-faceted queer arts organization with the following core programs: Out in Schools education program, Queer History Project and the annual Vancouver Queer Film Festival. About the Festival
The Vancouver Queer Film Festival is the city's 2nd largest film festival. Our August 2010 edition featured 52 films, 3 workshops and 11 parties. A strategic focus of the festival continues to be an emphasis on creative innovation and audience experiences.
- Produce all special events related to fund development, including donor appreciation events and Out On Screen's three signature fundraising events: Out for Breakfast, OUTrageous! and High School Confidential.
- Produce all Festival Galas, Receptions and Parties.
- Work with our Championed Events Coordinator to assist with the promotions and volunteer coordination of any third party events.
- Assist with logistics around Out On Screen's two annual direct mail campaign.
- Assist to research and secure corporate and foundation gifts to the Out in Schools program
