Description:
The Sadbolt Centre's Theatre and Literary Arts program is currently seeking an instructor for our Saturday Speech and Drama classes. This contract position begins on Oct 16th 2010 and ends on June 4 2011
Responsibilities:
- Instruct long-term private, semi-private and small group classes for children ranging in age from 8- 17 years
- Prepare students for recitals, performances and exams
Qualifications:
- Previous stage acting experience
- Experience teaching the Trinity Guidhall or Royal Conservatory of Music Speech and Drama Syllabus
- Teaching Certification (ACTL, ARCT) or equivalent experience
- Experience working independently with children
- Ability to plan and instruct long term speech arts classes suited to students' ability and age
A criminal record check will be required (service provided free of charge through the City of Burnaby)

Remuneration:
Instructor rate is $33.00/hour
