Upintheair Theatre is seeking applicants for the position of Technical Director for Neanderthal Arts. This exciting new festival combines the company’s successful Walking Fish Emerging Artists Festival with a series of professional one-acts. Dates: The festival takes place the last two weeks of July. TD will be expected to be available for production meetings from early May.
The TD will be responsible for coordinating the technical requirements of 6 hour long one acts and 6 short plays, hiring stage crew, the organization and execution of tech days for the festival including load in, strike, and paper tech, and dealing with all technical matters with venue liaisons and contacts.
The applicant will have strong organizational abilities, technical knowledge, contacts in the theatre community, positive work ethic, and be able to work within a limited budget.
