Volunteer Coordinator
Job Information
The Vancouver Folk Music Festival is seeking a Volunteer Coordinator for the 2010 Festival. This is a key position that involves the recruitment and placement of 1400 volunteers required to successfully stage the Festival. The position runs from April 5 - August 27
Recruitment of volunteers and implement policies and systems for effective volunteer management
Develop and execute a volunteer recruitment and retention strategy and recognition program
Screen volunteers and enter them into a data base
Provide basic orientation and on-going support to all volunteer coordinators and volunteers.
Communicate with volunteers to ensure a positive experience for all volunteers
Attend all volunteer meetings (evenings) leading up to the festival
3 years experience in volunteer coordination
