YOUTH PROGRAM MANAGER

Over the last 12 years, The Cultch has developed a unique Youth Program that offers affordable opportunities to young artists and arts enthusiasts in the contemporary arts. The Cultch is currently looking for an outstanding Youth Program Manager. Reporting to the Executive Director, you are responsible for all aspects of The Youth Program including the youth panel, The IGNITE! Youth-Driven Arts Festival, the IGNITE! Mentorship Program, and The Cultch’s Summer Camp (you are encouraged to familiarize yourself with these program elements by visiting www.thecultch.com). You have a positive attitude with great communication skills, are proactive and are full of fresh ideas. You take direction well but also have the confidence to lead projects, set priorities and manage multiple projects at a time.

You will apply your experience in group facilitation, program design and delivery, and community engagement to create a dynamic and inclusive gathering space where youth can share skills, develop their craft, and have fun. You love to seek out and develop meaningful relationships with diverse community groups. You have an awareness of the youth-arts community in Vancouver and are able to respond to its needs.

You are experienced in grant writing and program development and are delighted to foster relationships with community and corporate sponsors. You are detail oriented and will work with the Development Department to complete applications on deadline.                                                                                                

You are well versed in MS Word, Excel, and Office. You are web-savvy with the technological know-how to reach out to youth via social media. You are excited to

work with the Communications & Marketing Department to develop creative and innovative marketing campaigns for all program components. Photography and design skills are a strong asset.

You have a love and knowledge of the contemporary arts in all forms and delight in sharing this passion with young artists.

Compensation: This is a full-time contract position paying $2,500 per month to May 31, 2012 with the option to renew or become a full-time position.
