Gallery Gachet is a unique artist run centre located in the Downtown Eastside of Vancouver. Run by a collective and staff team, we provide artists who speak to mental health, trauma, or abuse experience with opportunities to collaborate, exhibit, curate, perform, publish and teach. We support these artists in the development of their professional art practices. Through artistic means we aim to demystify and challenge issues related to mental health and social marginalization in order to educate the public and promote social and economic justice. We believe that the expression and practice of art and culture should be a human right, and we promote the critical function of art and culture in building a healthy society.
