The UBC Department of Theatre and Film is recognised as one of Canada's foremost academic Theatre and Film programs. We offer a comprehensive range of degrees which includes the option to study in an interdisciplinary environment with Film, Creative Writing and many other university disciplines. Our faculty of accomplished artists and scholars in residence ably support students' imaginative, technical, and intellectual development equally as they prepare to embark on a life in theatre, film and related arts.

Public Events: Each year we produce a full season of main stage plays and many smaller works, a student film festival, a new play festival and publish a free journal of film studies.
