Send a message to your BC election candidates

Alliance launches new e-communications tool, advocacy listserv

The Alliance for Arts and Culture is pleased to announce phase one of its new Action Centre, an online communications tool that will allow Synergy subscribers, Alliance members and the general public to stay in touch, share advocacy information, and send messages to election candidates and other government leaders about the importance of arts and culture.

In phase one, we have developed an excellent, and easy, online tool that lets you send a letter, by email, to your provincial election candidates. This letter is automatically sent to the party leaders, and as new candidates emerge, they will be added to the contact list.

As you go through the online process to email your candidates, you will be asked to set up an account to receive further communications (such as Synergy) from the Alliance. As we develop more electronic communications strategies and tools, you will be able to manage your subscriptions to Synergy and other communications, and you will be able to unsubscribe at any time. We respect your privacy, and have set up the Action Centre so that you must confirm your subscription.

You do NOT have to complete your account in order to send a message to your candidates, but eventually, if you would like to continue to receive Synergy, you will be required to set up a password and confirm your account. Simply follow the steps online, and respond to the automatic email that will be sent to you to confirm your subscription.

We strongly encourage you to send a message to your candidates, and let our politicians know that the arts build communities, and that culture counts in this BC election.

As well, we recently launched AAC Advocacy Alerts, a listserv that will allow you to exchange information and discuss advocacy issues with members of the cultural community.
