Volunteer Opportunity Description:

A Gallery Attendant is present during the opening hours of the gallery and Envision Concerts in the Park to greet gallery patrons, keep track of levels of attendance, and monitor the gallery and boutique. The attendant may also be occasionally asked to assist with some light cleaning and office duties. No previous art or gallery experience is necessary; however, an interest in art would be helpful and a willingness to learn is essential. - Acting as a host and friendly face in a professional setting
- Monitoring the gallery and boutique
- Encouraging and processing the sale of artwork and box office tickets (when available)
- Keeping count of gallery visitors
- Handing out and receiving gallery, boutique, program and volunteer applications
- Providing information about our member groups and community partners
- Answering phones and taking messages
- Keeping the resource center stocked and managed with photocopies and other handouts
- If working alone, opening and/or closing the building at the beginning and/or end of each shift

• Excellent communication skills
• Be able to attend orientation and any training
• Ability to attend shifts as scheduled
