Organization Description: 

The Massey Theatre dedicated its visual arts space on April 27th, 1996, as the Plaskett Gallery
Named after native and international acclaimed visual Artist, Joseph Plaskett and a lasting tribute to the life and work of Joseph Plaskett and to recognize his contribution to the Arts in Our City, Our Country and the World beyond.
Our aim is to make The Plaskett Gallery more accessible to our community. With the help of volunteers we are slated to have the Plaskett Gallery open 1 to 5pm Tuesday to Friday, Saturdays hosted by the Artist. We plan to book appointments for individuals and groups

Volunteer Opportunity Description: 

Gallery docent time commitment is 4 hours 1 to 5pm once a week or once every two weeks. Parking is free.


Tours school groups through the Plaskett Gallery
Attend training sessions
Communicate clearly and effectively
Engage school age children and adults
Light office duties


Love of the Visual and performing Arts
Strong communication skills
Reliable, professional
Enjoy working with children and families
Commitment of six months or more
