Assistant to the Designer
Volunteer Information
ITSAZOO is looking for 2 or 3 Assistants to the Designers for their summer production of Robin Hood. These assistants will be helping out with everything from buying, to sewing, to mask building, to puppet making, to set construction. This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to get gain experience and meet new people in the world of theatre.
The Assistants to the Designers will be responsible for assisting the Set/Prop, Costume and Mask Designers as necessary. This could include:
- Buying
- Arranging fittings
- Sewing
- Patterning
- building sets
- Prop building
- Painting
- Mask/puppet making
If there is one area in particular that you are interested in you would be able to focus on that area of the job.
An interest in theater design and some experience in theatre. Basic sewing and construction skills are an asset.
