Community Arts Council of Vancouver creates community through arts.

The Community Arts Council of Vancouver (CACV) is looking for enthusiastic volunteers to be at events to welcome people, provide registration and membership support and take information from participants who wish to join or sign up for our e-newsletters.

The CACV's Community Arts Activities Committee plans, develops, and facilitates arts activities that engage the public, spark dialogue, and encourage collaboration. Committee members are directly involved in creating connections and community through the arts whether they are promoting the CACV at public events or seeking out new arts events to recommend to the CACV board.

The committee also works to improve networks for community artists in Vancouver and build a sense of continuity and presence through ongoing involvement in events like Arts & Culture Week and the Winter Solstice Lantern event at Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Gardens.

Responsibilities:

1) Attend and support community events representing CACV.
2) Responsibilities for each event vary depending on the needs of the organizer/artist.
3) Optional: Attend monthly planning meetings.
Time required is approximately 3-4 hours per month.

Volunteer must enjoy working with people, interacting with the public and have a positive attitude.
