A pair of workshops around human resources issues in the arts, culture and heritage sectors.

In Managing Workplace Issues (November 8), participants will deal with issues around: fostering positive workplace relationships; employer’s rights & responsibilities; how to use progressive discipline; effectively managing issues such as absenteeism, harassment and duty to accommodate; and performance problem analysis.

The second workshop, Managing Workplace Conflict (November 15) covers the following issues: situations that lead to conflict; the Pinch model of conflict resolution; the neuroscience of conflict; tools to manage conflict; and techniques for personal anger management.

Greg Miller is the president of Crowflight Consulting. He holds a Master’s of Applied Behavioural Science in Organizational Development, his Executive Coaching Certificate and is a master trainer. He was the principal consultant for employee development in the HR branch of Agriculture Canada for over 20 years. He has designed and delivered numerous courses on supervisor development, time management, stress management, networking, resume writing, and managing change.
