Call for Artists Description:
Open to emerging artists, 19 years and older non-union performers who are finished or in mid-training.
This spring, Deb Williams is offering 2 intensive storytelling workshops for emerging performers. Deb will share her 30 years of storytelling and comedy knowledge, giving you tools to create and share compelling stories. This inclusive, demanding, and supportive workshop is focused on learning and growth.
New to storytelling? Bring a short, interesting personal anecdote, and Deb will work with you to get it performance ready; for stage. It has to be true, about you, and told in less than 5 minutes. Challenging and loads of fun.
Already a great storyteller? Improve your creation, performance skills, work towards a one person show. Bring well-honed stories ready to perform; these stories still have to be true, about you, and told in less than 5 minutes. The weekend will involve working on these and newly generated stories.
Workshop dates: April 13-14 10am-4pm or April 27-28 10am-4pm.
