The BC Liberal Party has named Michelle Stilwell (MLA, Parksville-Qualicum) and Doug Clovechok (MLA, Columbia River-Revelstoke) as the joint official critics for Tourism, Arts and Culture. They were appointed on August 3, as part of a more comprehensive announcement from the BC Liberals identifying the members of its shadow cabinet.
Michelle Stilwell has been the MLA for Parksville-Qualicum since 2013. She is a wheelchair athlete and a six-time medalist at the Paralympic Games, including five gold medals earned from 2008-2016. She previously served as Minister of Social Development and Social Innovation from 2015-2017, and as Parliamentary Secretary for Healthy Living and Seniors from 2013-2015.
Doug Clovechok was elected as the MLA for Columbia River-Revelstoke in May 2017. He previously served as a high school teacher with the Calgary Board of Education, and served for 20 years as the CEO of the Calgary Education Partnership Foundation. He was campus manager of the College of the Rockies at Invermere.
