The City of Vancouver is developing a Creative City Strategy - a new, comprehensive plan for arts, culture and creativity that will guide future priorities, efforts and investments. Community-led input is critical to the wider public engagement process that will inform the strategy.
The City invites organizations of diverse histories and practices to play an active part in the process of shaping future civic investments and support of arts and culture through hosting your own engagement. Grant amounts range from $5,000 to $20,000 to support a wide variety of activities. Grants can be used to support conversations into a specific topic with a small group of people, or it can be broad, involving a large number of people to generate conversations.
Grants are available for Host Your Own engagements to take place from May through September 2018.
