Shuswap District Arts Council was founded in 1970 with the core values to provide artistic programming within the community, using regional talent whenever possible, and to celebrate the diversity of the area by encouraging participation in artistic festivals, exhibitions, performances, and events. Since then, the Arts Council has continued to evolve and thrive along with the community.
The Salmon Arm Arts Centre is located in a beautiful heritage building in downtown Salmon Arm. Our vision is 'Art for Everyone'. We offer a full suite of programs including gallery exhibitions, family art-making on Saturdays and Wednesdays on the Wharf, a summer outdoor concert series.
This position is responsible for directing program administration and operational activities under the direction of the Director/Curator. Scope of responsibilities may include public and donor relations, event management, fund development, budget planning and reporting, marketing and promotions, First Nations relationship-building, and other duties as required. This is a permanent, salaried position for 20 hours a week, $20,000 gross per year, 2 weeks paid vacation per year.
Major Program: Wednesday On the Wharf summer concert series.
Minor Programs: ShuGo, Random Acts of Music, other children and youth programs.
Minimum bachelor's degree in a related field
