PAUSE Production Manager - PAUSE Pavilion

Indian Summer Festival

Apr. 5, 2019

Organization Description:

In 8 short years, Indian Summer Festival has become one of the city’s premiere cultural events. For two weeks, the festival hosts innovative artists, thought-leaders and visionaries of Canada, South Asia and beyond. With Nobel, Booker and Grammy prize nominees, as well as world-renowned activists, individuals come together to explore and expand our borders.

The PAUSE Pavilion is one project/site within the festival. Housing a mini-festival unto itself, this is the venue for our free programming series. The structure itself becomes a venue, a stage, a backdrop, and a canvas; showcasing visual art installations, ideas series events, performances, workshops, and long table lunches.

We’re looking for a strategic and creative PAUSE Production Manager to manage production for all events and artworks in the PAUSE Pavilion space. Reporting to the Community Engagement Manager, the PAUSE Production Coordinator will work with the Production Manager, Artist Services, Volunteer Coordinator, and community partners to integrate elements that apply to the whole festival. Indian Summer Festival works with a diversity of artists, audiences, and event styles to create an atmosphere of warmth, inclusion, creativity, and curiosity. PAUSE, like Indian Summer Festival overall, is informed through solidarity and respect for the three local host nations. For a sense of scope, see
