Volunteer Opportunity Description:

We are currently seeking Box Office, Concession and House Management volunteers for our next show Enron.

Box Office: You are responsible for opening the box office, counting the float, selling and checking seat reservations and keeping a patron count, giving out programs and welcoming patrons to the theatre space. This includes a final cash out and the use of the "square program" on the Ipad for visa and debit purchases.

Concession: Thursday evening to Saturday we require licensed bar tenders with Serving it Right to serve wine, beer, chocolate, nuts and tea and coffee to patrons during pre-show and intermission. The Concession staff must open bar, set out stock, count your float, sell items and do a final cash out and clean up of the bar. This position is very social and full of great patrons with stories of the arts and their history with our company.

House Management: At United Players our senior volunteers become managers who oversee and help with the functions of Box Office and Concession. They are responsible for greeting and informing patrons of the various history and collections of art during the run. Also the House Manager coordinates with the Stage Manager to open and close the House for pre show, intermission and the final curtain. This position requires people skills, multitasking and ability to problem solve different issues with patrons.

Theatre experience is not necessary we train staff to learn the history of the theatre, the expectations of each position and would like volunteers that are energetic, and want to learn.

We are an equal opportunity establishment so we are open to volunteers from all ages, backgrounds and skill levels.

Our company only requires "Serving it Right" licensing for Bar Staff Thursday to Saturday.
