Every week, the BC Alliance gives you a glimpse at several must-see member events. Here’s a look at what’s coming up in the near future:
As dance battlers and avid Street Fighter players will know, capoeira is an Afro-Brazilian martial art that incorporates elements of dance and acrobatics. Internationally acclaimed collective Axé Capoeira hits the stage at Venables Theatre to bring this exciting art to Oliver audiences. Be dazzled by professional capoeiristas at the height of their skills, accompanied by upbeat traditional Brazilian rhythms.

More than 70 events take place at more than 35 locations in Metro Vancouver, including demos, exhibitions, walking tours, and the REEL Crafted Film Festival. Visit the festival website for more info.

The exhibition and fundraiser run from 10:00 a.m.; attend from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. for opening reception with artists in attendance.
