Golden Ears Movie Summer of Love Series - The Fireflies Are Gone (La Disparition des Lucioles)
The ACT Arts Centre presents a cinematic suite they’re calling their Golden Ears Movie Summer of Love Series. Coming up July 27: The Fireflies Are Gone (La Disparition des Lucioles), a TIFF Best Canadian Film winner in which a wilful guitar student and her older mentor form an unexpected friendship.

VS at Butchart Gardens
Cozy up amongst the chrysanthemums as the Victoria Symphony plays some dreamy classics: Tchaikovsky, Dvořák and more. A perfect way to spend an elegant evening under the setting sun.

North Van Arts celebrates 50 years of building community through the arts. Artists Alexandra Phillips, Amelia Guimarin, Amy Liebenberg, Bev Ellis, Biliana Velkova, Grace Gordon-Collins, Mehran Modarres-Sadeghi and Taehoon Kim explore their own relationships with the North Shore and the Lower Mainland. Join July 25 for the opening night celebration at CityScape Community ArtSpace.

Vancouver Bach Festival
Early Music Vancouver’s summer festival returns to bring you the best of Bach, Chopin, Handel and more, as rendered by international guest artists at the Chan Centre for the Performing Arts and Christ Church Cathedral. You’ll come Bach ‘til you’ve had all you can Handel (sorry).
(Vancouver: July 30-August 9)

BOOM X
Playwright and performer Rick Miller portrays more than 100 musicians, celebrities and politicians as he tries to untangle the legacy of the Baby Boom, in what Montreal’s CJAD calls a “barn burner” of a multimedia performance.
