Every week, the BC Alliance gives you a glimpse at several must-see member events. Here’s a look at what’s coming up in the near future:
All’s Well That Ends Well
Don’t miss your chance to reserve tickets for Bard on the Beach’s wildly popular staging of All’s Well That Ends Well, which has almost sold out for all performances. This new rendition is set in India during the waning days of British occupation and the cusp of Indian independence, and explores cultural, social and political barriers in the relationship between Helena and Bertram.

Bucan Bucan and Blisk: Eastern European Celebration!
Join Caravan World Rhythms for a musical voyage across Eastern Europe, embarking from the Victoria Event Centre in downtown Victoria. The show features Blisk, an all-female quartet of singer-musicians performing folk music from Eastern Europe; and Bucan Bucan, playing a mix of traditional, eastern European brass band tunes and original material inspired by Balkan rhythms and melodies.

Music on the Grill: Blues Night
Skies should be clear on Saturday for this Coquitlam summer staple. Enjoy an al fresco BBQ dinner on the patio of the Evergreen Cultural Centre, overlooking Lafarge Lake. Dinner entertainment will be provided by Jack Ray, followed by a full concert featuring Harpdog Brown & the Uptown Blues Band, delivering a vintage New Orleans Blues sound—and Blue Moon Marquee, a Gypsy Blues band who were the most requested band for the 2016 and 2017 TD International Jazz Festival circuit across Canada.
(Coquitlam: July 13)
O Canada! Exhibition
The Federation of Canadian Artists’ Canada Day exhibition on Granville Island runs until July 14. This free exhibition asks 55 different artists from across the nation to reflect on personal attachment to Canadian identity with works inspired by stories, places, and pieces of their past that build a sum greater than our parts.
(Vancouver: July 1-14)
