Every week, the BC Alliance gives you a glimpse at several must-see member events. Here’s a look at what’s coming up in the near future:

Echéa Quartet
Music on Main presents the award-winning London-based string quartet in action — first in support of music education on August 20 in Langley, then at CBC’s Studio 700 the next day in Vancouver.
(Langley and Vancouver: August 20 & 21)

Vancouver International Tap Dance Festival
Tappa-tappa-tappa: the Vancouver International Tap Dance Festival clatters onto the scene starting August 26. Enjoy the best in international and local tap dance at various venues across the city.
(Vancouver: August 26-September 1)

Deep Into Darkness
You’ll be ravin’ about this opportunity to dive into the dreams of famed author Edgar Allan Poe at The Cultch. Deep Into Darkness gives you a mask, 20+ rooms, and free reign to wander the psyche of the tragic poet to discern the fate of his lost love.
(Vancouver: August 13-25)

Port Moody Arts Centre Exhibitions
Hit up the Port Moody Arts Centre for a pair of new exhibition openings: the Port Moody Heritage Society celebrates half a century by making everything old new again in Upcycling Port Moody’s Heritage, and exquisite porcelain wares reflect the beauty of Korean pottery in Lines and Shapes of Korea.
(Port Moody: August 22-September 19; opening reception: August 22)
